Journalism is recognized as central to the practice of liberal democracy, but is also widely criticized from a variety of perspectives for not living up to its promise. In this course, students will study the major contemporary analyses of journalism. A major goal will be to examine critically the journalistic practices which the students are in the process of learning and to identify ways in which they could be improved.Courses are subject to availability.
