For the purpose of this course, literary journalism will be defined in the following way: journalism as literature, not journalism about literature. By this we mean the liberal application of the techniques of fiction to deeply reported journalistic stories. Emphasis will be placed on concepts such as scenes, reconstructions, details, point of view, dialogue, immersion reporting, voice, structure and the ethical stance of the literary journalist.Courses are subject to availability.
