The watchdog role of the media, the mechanics of government and the relationship between journalists and politicians are explored. While sharing a common lecture, students will be enrolled in labs with a view to the amount of journalism experience they bring, and assignments will be tailored to these differing levels of experience. This course is available as part of both the undergraduate Journalism program and the News Studies Minor.
