Students screen long-form documentaries ranging from classics from the last 50 years to contemporary productions. Students come to understand how the conventions of documentary storytelling have changed over the decades. They explore issues of voice, stylistic and narrative conventions, shooting and editing styles, and other aspects of documentary.This course is available as part of both the undergraduate Journalism program and the News Studies Minor.
